This paper traces the scope and dimensions of the global market opportunities for Egyptian small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the context of how they might exploit the current opportunities to their own advantage. This might be happen through the rapid growth of transnational corporations (TNCs), which Egyptian SMEs could exploit by a proposed dual strategy of vertical integration and horizontal cooperation as linkages between global TNCs and Egyptian SMEs. This paper also provides insight on the role of Egyptian policymakers as a facilitator in this regard.
